The Pantry Adjacent to the Kitchen is the large Pantry. The ceiling is 10 in height.
Lighting is provided through oiled deerskin window coverings and free standing torch
sconces. The room is full of tables and shelves, lined with wheat, rice, flour, salt, and
other spices and daily staples. Towards the narrow end of the Pantry is a clear area which
is reserved for archers to cover the Elevator Carriage opening. Also located in this spot
are two straw filled bed, used for breaks. The two sets of heavy double doors, both West
and East, are banded with metal, and can be barred from the inside.
